Indulging in your Single Life

If you are single, jump to this podcast. Katie Bulmer is talking directly to you! Specifically, she uncovers how to indulge in your single life. I know it may seem like everyone is getting married and someone is always asking you if you have a boyfriend. However, the particular place God has put you in is so special. In fact, it is where God is preparing you.

In this episode, Katie Bulmer gives 5 ways to indulge in your single life. If you are new to Katie’s podcasts, Truth for your Twenties encourages women how to become the best versions of themselves. In addition to her podcast, Katie is an author, motivational speaker, and mentor. She pours into women’s lives any way she can by directing them to our Savior.

Katie wants you to have the most fulfilling and fruitful marriage. To do so, she offers a few tidbits to help you reach that goal. Therefore, the 5 ways to indulge in your single life are this:

  1. Get out of debt
  2. Go to the gym (for how you FEEL not how you look)
  3. Sign up for that thing (group, club, trip)
  4. Go to counseling
  5. Grow in your faith

She explains how to do each of these things as well as how these will enhance your life. If you want to hear the reasoning behind each point, tune into this episode. Katie offers truth and her personal experience to help you. These things WILL narrow your dating pool and raise your standards, but that is a good thing. You deserve to be cherished and loved well, just as Jesus loves you, and you can only find that through high standards. You don’t need hundreds of options, studies show that does us no favors. You just need one great option and these steps are a great way to help you get there.

Finally, Katie speaks on the wedding versus the marriage. Nowadays we romanticize the wedding instead of the marriage. Truthfully, the wedding is temporary. The marriage and the person you have by your side are what stick around. Katie expresses the importance of singleness throughout this podcast. Do not wish your situation away. You are right where you are supposed to be. If you love Katie’s advice, talk with her privately where she can specifically target your situation.
