How to make a difference in your sorority

Let’s do this! Let’s change the world! It all started with a concept that I present to colleges called a social serve. What exactly is a social serve? Being in active and serving in your community for fun. It is the cultivator of how to make a difference in your sorority. How and where do you start? Every city with greek life in it has the potential to have cleaner streets, better-run children programs, and elderly homes bursting with volunteers. All of these initiatives can begin within you and your chapter.

Real talk… If you were to lose your charter tomorrow what kind of impact would it leave on your community? Would the it be the bars that serve you Taco Tuesday or the non profits that you partner with? When your thirty what are you going to remember the most? (probably not Taco Tuesday).

Over time sorority women have taken this idea and ran with it creating awesome ways to serve, but the question still stands how do you begin? Thats why I decided to write it out for you! These pages will give you all the tools you need to plan, promote, and execute a service social within your sorority or even your entire Panhellenic. This curriculum is designed to have your chapter behind the same goal (serving your community) but
working on different projects throughout the city, all on the same day, Basically,we are planning to serve your cities socks off!

Are you ready to change the stigma of greek life on your campus? What about finally seeing a positive change in your community first hand? This will impact you for years to follow! Let’s do it, let’s plan a social serve.

Want more info? Here is a podcast episode where I interview 2 different sorority women in different states and different chapters on how to bring a service social to your college!

Nice post. I learn something totally new and challenging on sites I stumbleupon on a daily basis. It will always be exciting to read through content from other authors and use something from other web sites. Gerry Flemming Raddatz
